Forrest discovered his love of painting in the spring of 2011 as one of the first participants in Provail’s Art Is Not An Option art classes. He started with acrylics on canvas and has stayed with that medium to this day. After trying different modifications to help him hold a brush, he found he did best painting with his hands.
Forrest has received two Awards of Merit from the Washington State PTA Reflections Program, first for his painting entitled “Fireworks” in 2012, and again in 2013 for his painting entitled “Racing”. His art has been exhibited at Provail, at several NW Special Artists shows in Edmonds, and at The Den coffee shop in Bothell.
Forrest is 17 years old and is a student at Shorewood High School in Shoreline. In addition to painting he enjoys riding his adapted trike, playing Challenger Division Little League baseball, going to the pool with his family, skiing in a sit-ski, taking fast boat rides, and going to summer camp. He lives with his family in Richmond Beach.
