Sunday Supper Club and Superstar Theatre Update

Our 60's dance party was a big hit with singing, dancing and Bingo along to the musical "Hairspray". Our monthly Sunday Supper club has a different theme each month and includes mental, creative and physical activities focusing on FUN with our FRIENDS. Theme cookies really were a big hit after our meal! Thank you so much to our volunteers Linda and Chris, who not only assisted with our party, but also provided the detailed theme cookies and the home cooked meal!

Superstar Theatre had a great Spring quarter focusing on using our imagination. We had a visit from the NW Puppet Center and welcomed 2 new volunteers to class.

In Glee Club we studied a few great American songwriters and added 7 new song lyrics to our songbook. The quarter ended with a square dance party which is one of our groups favorite dances. Square dancing uses both sides of your brain through "cross-lateral" movements that cross from one side of your body to the other. It is great for our brains, memory, and coordination.

A big thank you to Seattle Plant Company for hosting a fun planting party with our group. Michelle and her team taught us how to plant and take care of our plant "pets". Everyone got to make 2 planters and take them home. They now have their own plant to care for and watch grow.
